Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

To provide confidential, brief counseling to help TIers and their family members resolve personal problems.

Access: Access: For appointments, contact the EAP via TI HR Connect, 888-660-14111, option 7 (24 hours/day), or you may contact Magellan directly: 800-888-2273.
Provider: Magellan Behavioral Health
Eligible Participants: All TIers and retirees. (Includes their families and other household members.) 
Availability: 24 hr/day - nationwide
Cost: None for EAP services; should additional resources outside the EAP be desired, your medical plan may cover some of the costs associated with these services.
Features: The EAP is a confidential service TIers may use to resolve personal problems. Consultation, information and brief, solution-oriented therapy are provided to TIers by experienced professionals at Magellan Behavioral Health, an independent company. A good time to contact the EAP is when first realizing efforts to resolve a problem have not been satisfactory.

* All services are confidential.

* EAP use is voluntary.

* All EAP fees for TIers and eligible family members are paid by TI.

EAP can help with:

* Emotional and personal conflicts
* Work performance/career issues
* Family and relationship concerns
* Parenting
* Death of a loved one/grief
* Dealing with change and stress
* Depression
* Questions about drug/alcohol use
* Care for elderly parents

The EAP and Solution-Oriented Therapy

The EAP helps you work through problems using Solution-Oriented Therapy:

1)  Clarify the problem. Discuss the situation with an EAP therapist to help you determine what steps to take.
2)  Identify options. Explore alternatives for resolving the problem.
3)  Develop an action plan. Decide on a course of action and implement your plan.
4)  Work together. Achieve your goals.
