Volunteer Opportunities in Junior Achievement

Let their success be your inspiration!

Want to make a difference in the education and life of a child? Become a positive role model by mentoring children with a flexible, short term commitment through Junior Achievement of Grayson County. Junior Achievement's purpose is to give students a fundamental understanding of the free enterprise system, business and economics.

Using Junior Achievement's lesson plans and pre-packaged materials you will show students how their school work relates to the real world, teach the students skills they will need to succeed in the world of work, and enrich the curriculum with your own experiences and have fun!

The elementary program consists of five classes with each class being 30-45 minutes, plus pre-class preparation and one training session in advance of the class. Usually the visits are over a five-week time period. You schedule your presentation days and times directly with the teacher - it's flexible.

There is a significant need for volunteers in Dallas, Collin, and southern Denton Counties. If you would like to make a positive difference in the life of a child, contact Linda L. Schoelkopf, President, Junior Achievement of Dallas, Inc., 972-690-8484 ext. 247.
