TI TUTORS NEEDED FOR DALLAS' FRAZIER ELEMENTARY
The spring semester for the students at Julia C. Frazier is well
underway. For the last 18 years, Texas Instruments has partnered with
Julia C. Frazier Elementary School of Dallas. This School-Business
partnership is one of the oldest of its kind in the Dallas Independent
School District, and is well recognized throughout the country. Each
year our tutors load the bus, head for south Dallas and are welcomed by
this exemplary school's teachers and students. Again, Julia C. Frazier's
Elementary School Principal Rachel George and her third-graders are
asking Dallas-area TIers to volunteer as tutors for five weeks,
beginning Monday, February 28, 2005.
Each Monday volunteers will depart from the Texins Activity Center
located at 13900 North Central Expressway in Dallas. The bus will leave
promptly at 2:15 p.m. for Frazier Elementary located at 4600 Spring
Avenue. Volunteers will remain at the school until 4 p.m., after which
they will be transported back to the Texins Activity Center around 4:30
p.m.
If you want to join the team for this five-week period during the spring
semester, please e-mail Cina Roan cinaroan@ti.com by Tuesday, February
22 and she will register you. Please include the following: Your name,
employee number, telephone #, PC Drop or M/S, and if you will be riding
the bus.
Dates for tutoring:
Monday, February 28 (3-4 p.m.)
Monday, March 7 (3-4 p.m.)
Spring Break, March 14-18
Monday, March 21 (3-4 p.m.)

First-time volunteers
Volunteers going to Frazier Elementary for the first time must attend an
orientation on Monday, February 28. Orientation will take place in the
school's cafeteria.
Returning volunteers
All returning volunteers do not need to attend the orientation. However,
you do need to meet and greet your students in the cafeteria on February
28, as well.
Please e-mail Cina Roan cinaroan@ti.com
and she will register you. Please include the following: Your name,
employee number, telephone #, PC Drop or M/S, and if you will be riding
the bus. This will help to determine how many reading and math material
books need to be prepared.
Contact Cina Roan (214-480-6871; e-mail
cinaroan@ti.com) or Gerald Borders (214-480-6890; e-mail
