2010 Health Benefits Enrollment November 3-17 Retirees eligible for TI Extended Health Benefits Coverage should be receiving their annual enrollment packets shortly. The packets have the information needed to make benefits choices for 2010. This material has also been posted on the TIAA website. To view the retiree benefits newsletter, Connection, go to www.tialumni.org/enroll/. For more information, contact TI HR Connect at 1-888-660-1411, option 1. United Way Campaign Update The first TIAA United Way campaign is well underway. As was reported at the TI Retiree Luncheon last week, almost $79,000 has been raised to date for United Way and its partner agencies. If you’ve already donated to the campaign, thank you. Your generosity will make a big difference to improving lives in our community. If you haven’t given, it’s not too late. Your gift is badly needed. To donate online, go to www.unitedwaydallas.org/TIAA and click on Pledge Now. Or you can send a check, made payable to United Way, to TIAA/United Way, P.O. Box 740181, Dallas TX 75374. Cowboy Stadium Tour The Nov. 17 tour of the new Cowboy Stadium in Arlington turned out to be even more popular than anticipated. We’ve added a third bus – the last one available – and we still can’t accommodate everyone wanting to go. There are simply no more buses available on that date. However, we hope to schedule another tour as soon as possible. Those who registered for the Nov. 17 event but were unable to attend will have first priority for a second Cowboy Stadium tour. In Memoriam TIAA has recently learned of the deaths of the following retired TIers and/or TIAA members: Samuel Adkins, Vincent Benavidez, Lola M. Boutin, Annie Brown, Charlene Brown, Oscar Sayle Burrow, Patrick E. Carney, Patricia G. Conner, Ann Farrington, Virginia Rhee Foster, Allen G. Gibbs, Donald G. Joyner, Glenn McCollum and Craig L. Ottesen. On behalf of TIAA members, we have sent a sympathy card to their families expressing our condolences at their loss. For more information, go to www.tialumni.org/in-memoriam/.
