DSO
Volunteering Opportunities
At TIAA’s Annual Meeting at the
Meyerson Symphony
Center on May 11, TI
Senior VP John Van Scoter and Mark Kovac, Partner, Bain & Company
briefly highlighted many of the involvements by TI and TIers in
support of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra over the last 55 years.
They also listed many opportunities for retired TIers to continue
that tradition by volunteering their time in support of various DSO
activities. View volunteer opportunities at:

Zanda Hilger Seminar
If you missed the excellent seminar presented by Zanda Hilger of the
Area Agency on Aging on Medication Management, Sensory Loss &
Resources at the Plano Centre on May 13, you can view her
presentation at
www.tialumni.org/seminar/. You can also print out copies of the
very useful material that was distributed. The handouts include
lists of helpful numbers and websites for seniors and caregivers,

Web-Savvy Volunteer Needed
To enhance our communications, we have significantly improved our
newsletter, TI Alumni News; added our email bulletin, TI
Alumni eNews; and begun sending out single-topic TI Alumni
eNotes. Now it's time to update our website,
www.tialumni.org. So we are looking for a person, or
persons, to join an ad hoc committee that will make our website even
more informative and easy to use. If you think you would be
interested in this activity, please contact Ronnie Brandenburg at
admin@tialumni.org.

nature’s adventure at this unique display of flora and fauna from
five continents, 14 countries, three oceans, and numerous seas and

waterfall. Mammals, ranging in size from small vampire bats to large
Antillean manatees, share the rainforest with amphibians, reptiles,
invertebrates and fish. The Aquarium portion includes marine species
from around the world. The indoor pathway continues by way of a

rays, and then ascends into the upper levels where tiny hummingbirds
and large raptors have an up-close encounter with the tall Tree of
Life. Meet at the LBJ DART station to catch the train. A Senior DART day pass is $1.50. Walk 4
